What is REDACTED (also written [REDACTED])?

REDACTED is a horror comedy audio drama produced by Hush Studios and released on the Rusty Quill network.

The show follows Jacob Kane, a struggling actor who, desperate for a fresh start, assumes the identity of his deceased twin, Jordan. Expecting a simple accounting job, he instead finds himself accidentally inside an underfunded secret government agency called The REDACTED Unit, tasked with discreetly handling bizarre and often dangerous paranormal cases.

As Jacob settles into his role, he begins to unravel the unsettling truths around his brother's death. What begins as an act of reinvention slowly becomes a descent into a web of paranormal forces, secret agendas, and moral compromise.

REDACTED is a multi-season, monster-of-the-week series: each episode is a self-contained case. If you like The X-Files, Buffy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Psych, or The Magnus Archives, this is for you.

Johnathan “Athan” Magno is a content creator, producer, and creative director focused on scripted audio drama. His work centers on character-forward storytelling and high end sound design. Prior to production, he owned an escape room and spent five years in game design, shaping immersive experiences built around team-building and tension.

Jamie is a New England based actor and writer with a lifelong love of horror. Before creating The Cellar Letters in 2020 and moving into podcasting, he worked toward a career in film and television: an experience that developed his character-driven approach to audio drama.
Derek Moreland

Amidst a long list of random life encounters, Derek’s creative work has involved filmmaking on both sides of the camera, and eventually Escape Room design and management with Athan. Outside of work, you can find Derek enjoying tabletop RPGs with friends, video gaming, reading books of all genres, and otherwise enjoying life with his wife and kids.
Natalie Light

Natalie Light is a multi-nothing yet selling singer, voice actress, painter and sometimes-songwriter. She is known for her work in the fast-growing fictional audio drama The Grotto, which is notable for its heavy creative use of original and cover songs in storytelling, where she is one of the writers and also voices Lillan.
Landon Whisnant
Lead Sound Designer
Landon 'Lemon' Whisnant is a sound designer, actor and writer that has had a hand in a multitude of audio dramas stretching over just about every genre.

How it started

REDACTED was funded on Kickstarter in May 2025, finishing at 313% with more than 400 backers. The first three episodes were released together on November 9, 2025, and new episodes have dropped every Friday since. Everyone who backed it is on the supporter wall.
